Sweet Homes for Alabama
Join me in supporting Alabama Rural Ministry's Sweet Homes for Alabama campaign. Let's support our friends in rural Alabama who are extending Christ's love through home repair and children's ministries. Help us restore hope, build dreams, and fuel a movement to end substandard housing in rural Alabama!
I just finished my 3rd year serving as ARM's director of ministry operations. The families we are blessed to serve with have shown me what real faith and love look like. It's an honor to introduce them to our mission teams who get to serve alongside them practicing compassion and Christ-like service.
This ministry has a special hometown connection for me. As you may know, ARM began its home repair ministry with families in the communities where I grew up. Places like York, Cuba, Bellamy, Coatopa, Boyd, Emelle, Epes, and Livingston in rural Sumter County, AL. The summer I spent serving as a construction coordinator intern with ARM in Sumter County back in 2005 gave me new eyes to see how God is at work in my own life and community. I saw how my call to join God's mission must begin in my own home, neighborhood, town, and community. I met Jesus in the lives of the families with whom we served, and I still meet him - and am changed - as I continue to serve.
We've set a big goal this year as an organization - $100,000 - and we'll need your help to reach it! Just a small donation - as little as $10 - will go a long way to helping me meet my personal goal of $5000 for making sweet homes in rural Alabama! Or, even better, you can use this new fundraising platform to set your own goal and become a fundraiser with us! Just click here and select the "Start Fundraising" button to get started - it only takes a 5-10 minutes to setup your page!
Thank you so much!
