$235 towards $2,000

About five years ago Cassie and I moved back to Auburn and I joined the Alabama Rural Ministry team in my first full-time ministry role. I learned so, so much from my time with ARM and most of it was from my friend Lisa. If you know Lisa, you know she is a special person - multi-talented, passionate, hard working, compassionate, and a woman of deep faith and trust in God. I look back on my time with ARM with so much appreciation for Lisa and for all those who worked alongside me.

Since leaving ARM to work with Auburn UMC, I've been amazed at how they have been faithful through many challenges. This summer ARM took a big step of faith and hosted mission teams in rural Marianna, FL, to assist with Hurricane Michael recovery in an area away from the coast that other volunteer groups were overlooking. Not long after making that commitment, the destructive tornados of March 3rd struck in rural Lee County - ARM's backyard. On March 4th, Lisa and the ARM team were out helping and have not stopped organizing volunteers - both local and out of town teams - to help with recovery. ARM has invested for the long-term by hiring several new staff members dedicated to tornado recovery including a team of case managers who work one-on-one with families through the long recovery process.

Throughout all of the storms - whether the sudden destruction of a tornado in Lee County or the generational struggle against poverty in Macon or Sumter counties, ARM continues to extend the love of Christ to so many while developing spiritual leaders who are trained to put their faith into action.

Please join me in supporting ARM and help me reach my goal of $2000! This is one small part of ARM's $125,000 No More Shacks - No More Blue Tarps campaign. No amount is too small and everyone can help spread the word even if you can't make a donation today.
